Description
Explore the 18 Vrsar islands and islets.
Reliable traces of permanent settlement have been recorded on Sveti Juraj, while the island of Koversada is also interesting from this point of view. In historical and cartographic sources, Koversada is mentioned under the name Conversada, probably its name has its roots in the Latin verb convertere, which, according to some interpretations, could indicate that it is an island where converts were settled, or at least temporarily located ( converts). There are also two important capes on the Vrsar coast: Petalon (Petalun on nautical charts) and Šjole, which forms a natural gateway to the Lim Bay. A natural attraction of the Vrsar water area consists of several shoals: Velika, Mramori, Koversada (on Kuvrsada maps), Lim and Fujaga.
Enjoy sailing exploring the Vrsar archipelago.
