Description
The coast in front of Vrsar, together with the Brijuni Islands, is considered the most developed part of the Istrian coast. Eighteen local islands and islets, the Vrsar pier, numerous bays and coves, as well as the Gulf of Lim, as the southernmost part of the municipal area, contribute to the development of the coast. The most important Vrsar islands and islets are: Figarolica, Lakal, Salamon 1 and 2, Zavata, Galiner, Sveti Juraj, Gusti školj, Koversada, Longa and Orlandin. The largest island of Sveti Juraj has an area of 112,408 m2, and the coastline is 1733 m long; followed by Koversada with 67,477 m2 and 990 m, Solomon Islands 2 with 39,881 m2 and 773 m, Longa with 29,923 m2 and 826 m and Solomon Islands 1 with 24,587 m2 and 590 m.
